Accounting

Justin Breidenbach, CPA, CFE

Justin lives and breathes accounting. Not only is he interested in helping to meet your individual and organizational needs, he is interested in developing future accountants and business leaders.

Justin presents at numerous professional conferences each year educating accountants on financial, regulatory, and market changes. Justin also serves as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Capital University. Prior to joining the faculty at Capital University, Justin served as a faculty member at Ohio Wesleyan University and Lake Erie College where he taught courses relating to financial accounting, fraud & forensic accounting, auditing & assurance services, tax, and entrepreneurship.

Prior to joining the world of academia, Justin had extensive professional work experience in public accounting, and still has a passion for helping individuals and organizations navigate through the world of accounting and related topics. Justin’s academic and professional experience are a perfect blend to assist in meeting your needs.

Finance

Saurav Roychoudhury, PhD, FRM

Dr. Saurav Roychoudhury, a Professor of Finance and Economics at Capital University, has an extensive background in the field. He obtained his Ph.D. in economics, with a finance specialization, from West Virginia University's College of Business and Economics in 2006. His professional journey includes positions at the Industrial Investment Bank of India and the Reserve Bank of India's Department of Economic Analysis and Policy. He holds a master's degree in economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, and an MBA from ICFAI Business School, India. Additionally, he is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India and holds a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals. 

Dr. Roychoudhury's areas of expertise include corporate finance, governance, data analytics, investments, public policy, and risk management. He has presented his research at numerous national and international academic conferences and has been published in various peer-reviewed journals. He's also an author and contributor to multiple book chapters. He received accolades such as the best doctoral teaching award at West Virginia University in 2005 and the best paper award in Finance at the American Business research conference in 2012. He has developed peer-reviewed modules on computational finance using MS Excel, supported by an NSF grant, where he was co-PI.

He is known for advocating undergraduate research and enjoys mentoring students. Dr. Roychoudhury has refereed for several journals and is on the editorial board of a few international journals. His research has been featured in The Economist, Slate, and Bloomberg Businessweek. In 2013-14, he was a visiting research scientist at the Indian Statistical Institute during his sabbatical.

Furthermore, Dr. Roychoudhury conducts economic impact studies for public and private entities and writes expert opinion letters for foreign nationals in Finance, Economics, and Business. His consulting experience extends to start-ups and large corporations like Mercedes Benz, USA. At Capital University, he serves on several committees, including the University Budget and Planning, Faculty Evaluation, and Retirement Planning committees. He is also the faculty advisor for the Student Managed Investment Fund and mentors the university's CFA Research Challenge team.

LEADERSHIP

Keirsten Moore, PhD, MBA

Dr. Moore is a Professor in Capital's Business Program. Her areas of expertise include Organizational Behavior, Leadership, and Human Resource Management. She is passionate about helping students understand how human behavior affects and is affected by organizations, while helping them develop their skills as future managers and leaders. She particularly enjoys advising students outside of the classroom on their academic and career pursuits, and is the 2008 recipient of the Capital University Cotterman Award for Outstanding Advising.

Her current scholarship is focused on capturing leader perceptions of the Central Ohio business climate. She works in partnership with Columbus CEO magazine to conduct and report on the results of the Central Ohio CEO Survey, an annual poll of Central Ohio organizational executives. This survey identifies local CEO expectations for the economy, contemporary organizational challenges, and perspectives on leadership. She has also published and presented research on strategies for assessing learning in business programs, workaholism, and the impact of individual differences on self-managed teams.

Marketing

Lynn Dailey, PhD, Moore Endowed Chair

Dr. Lynn Dailey is a full professor and has held the George Moor Endowed Chair in Business and Economics at Capital University since 2008. She teaches in Capital's MBA and undergraduate programs and has been awarded Capital's top research and advising awards, the Faculty Scholar award and the Cotterman Advising award.

For the past 24 years, she has been engaged in business consulting and training for national clients, including Frigidaire Appliances, EXPRESS, Grange Insurance, OCLC, and Fortune Brands; several not-for-profits, including Edison Welding Institute and Deaf Initiatives; the government, including the Ohio Department of Development and the Ohio Bureau of Disability Determination; as well as many small businesses.

She is an expert in marketing, strategic planning, business plans, business skills training, marketing strategy and planning, focus groups, and consumer behavior.

Dr. Dailey has mentored student-centered experiential learning projects with over 90 central Ohio businesses and organizations, including the following:
